A total of 161 notifiable diseases were monitored by the Sentinel Surveillance Staff from 9 different hospital sentinel sites (Brokenshire Hospital, Davao Doctors Hospital, Davao Medical Center, Davao Oriental Provincial Hospital, Davao Regional Hospital, Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital, Limso Medical Center, Medical Mission Group Hospital and San Pedro Hospital). One hundred twenty-one (75.2%) dengue cases, sixteen (9.9%) hepatitis b cases, thirteen (8.1%) typhoid fever cases, eight (5%) non-neonatal tetanus cases, two (1.2%) leptospirosis cases and one (0.6%) diphtheria case. Among the 161 cases monitored, no fatalities noted.

Majority of the notifiable diseases monitored were from Davao City (73.9%), followed by Davao del Norte (9.9%), Davao del Sur (6.8%), Davao Oriental (4.3%), Compostela Valley (1.9%), North Cotabato (1.2%), Surigao del Sur (1.2%) and Bukidnon (0.6%).

In Davao City, cases were from the following areas: Talomo District (39 cases), Buhangin District (29 cases), Toril District (12 cases), District D (9 cases), Agdao District (8 cases), Bunawan District (6 cases), District A (4 cases), District C (4 cases), Tugbok District (4 cases), Calinan District (2 cases) and District B (2 cases).

Among the diseases monitored, dengue fever ranks first. 55.4% of the cases were Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever while 44.6% were Dengue Fever cases. Sixty-four (64) were males and fifty-seven (57) were females. Ages of the cases ranged from 2 months to 60 years old with the median age of 13 years. Majority of the cases reported were from Davao City. No fatality noted.
